1. What is a word search puzzle?

A word search puzzle grid is a letter grid with multiple words written in all directions. It is also known as a hidden word puzzle grid (including diagonals). Multiple words can share the same letter. The goal of the game is to identify the words that make it up. Sometimes the list of words is disclosed, other times it is kept a secret.

2. How to solve a word search puzzle?

A word search puzzle can be solved by row-by-row-by-letter-by-letter browsing/scanning of the entire grid and trying to find words in the 4 directions (2 horizontal: from left to right or from right to left backward, 2 vertical: from top to bottom and from bottom to top), or even 8 directions with diagonals. Using the unused letters as a guide is a complementary strategy.

The object of the game is often to find a solution or answer made up of letters that haven't been used in any other words. This answer could be a word or a hidden message.

3. How to improve yourself with word search puzzles

There are several methods for playing and solving word-search and word-hunt puzzles:

  • Locate the words and obtain the grid's solutions.
  • Take your time and don't rush so you don't miss any words.
  • Employ a thorough criss-cross search technique (from top to bottom, bottom to top, left to right, right to left, diagonals etc.)
  • Choose a word at the end and just look for it among the remaining letters.
